well, most of the fandom sees him as that, so that's why I call him (or they, Chara is a male for me) ebodiment of evil.

(In my head canon Chara is female so I'll use feminine pronouns)
I'd say Chara is seen as evil by most of the fandom because she only appears at the end of genocide run and nowhere else. Also the part with the soul steal and the soulless pacifist ending is pretty creepy.
Then again, Asriel does a lot of evil things as Flowey (torturing Sans, resetting like crazy) and he's forgiven. Wasn't the basic message of UT that everybody can be saved?
