"Checkmate" LTS(Lyogkiy Takticheskie Samolyot/Light Tactical Aircraft) is a 5th gen single engine fighter jet unveiled by Sukhoi in the MAKS-2021 exhibition in July 2021. It can be said that this is a Russian response to the Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning II. In the initial reveal, it was stated that a possible unmanned variant could be produced, and claimed to have a pricetag of $25-30 mil. per aircraft.

The design is very similar to the US proposed fighter model MRF-54E, although it has a different intake, resembling Boeing X-32's "laughing" shaped intake.
