I had fun painting using gouache! I used one very cheap flat brush for everything, and the gouache paint is from Holbein. I feel using gouache is more liberating than watercolor, since mistakes are easier to correct. One downside is blending colors is pretty difficult. It's also hard to control the values/colors since most of times the colors don't have the same value when they are wet and dry. After the painting dried I applying a think layer of acrylic gel to prevent it from smudging.

Anyways, I really enjoy the opaque and painterly look of gouache!
