Notes:
This is the first of a host of miniatures I am converting for a homebrewed board game inspired by the movie Aliens called Bug Hunt. When it's all said and done I should be able to field these models as vanilla Genestealers.

I have been thinking of doing this for a while now actually and I really like your design. U could put a tail on it, just buy a sheep toy plastic rat and cut of it's tail. you could also remove two of his arms, and you would get a full, but own version of a Xenomorph.

I'd considered ditching a set of arms and your tail suggestion is awesome. I think I'm comfortable with what I have. Its enough to recognize what its supposed to be while still being different enough to keep Fox Entertainment from sending me hate mail, LOLZ.

i see you talking conversion a lot in the comments, the old genestealer models (2nd edition i think) are basically just Xenomorphs with 4 arms already. i wouldn't suggest using them much though, the sculpt is awful

Both of these miniatures are FANTASTIC! I would kill to have some decent miniatures for Aliens or Predator or even the Colonial Marines.
I am going to eagerly watch your progress with this...can't wait to see you attempt a Queen.

Uhhh....
1) Adeptus Battlegrey (or equivalent since its discontinued)
2) a HEAVY wash of watered down black
3) drybrush a mix of Boltgun/Black Shade(shadow wash). I think the mixture was 3:1.
4) seal the model with Satin polyurethane spray to give it a shiny bug look.
