Description
Entry for 's Roman Gods Contest. This is Selene (or Luna), goddess of moon.
In Greek mythology, Selene was an archaic lunar deity and the daughter of the titans Hyperion and Theia. In Roman mythology, the moon goddess is called Luna, Latin for "moon".
Like most moon deities, Selene plays a fairly large role in her pantheon. However, Selene was eventually largely supplanted by Artemis, and Luna by Diana. In post-Renaissance art, Selene is generally depicted as a beautiful woman with a pale face, riding a silver chariot pulled by a yoke of oxen or a pair of horses. I do'nt like oxen much, so I choose to draw her with horses, wich I really love....
I was going to choose a more important god, but I decided to make a different choice, otherwise all the entries would be very similar!
Hope you like it!!!!!

Good job! I really like the lightness, it almost feels like the horses are transparent. Congrats on the honorable mention too

Maravilhoso! Uma das minhas bandas preferidas tem uma mΓΊsica sobre essa deusa! *-*
"Dressed in the whitest silver you'd smile at me
Every night I wait for my sweet Selene
But still...
Solitude's upon my skin
A Life that's bound by the chains of reality
Would you let me be your Endymion?"
