Very nice! I like the bird a lot Nice details there. Althought I think a different color for the background would make the bird pop out more. Because it has a very nice, strong blue color.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. So just out of curiosity, what color do you think the background should be? I have painted this bird twice and the other sits unfinished...without a background, so if you have an idea I am open to it The other is done in oil (I know, I know...who paints the subject matter first without a background in oil? I do )

haha. Uhm I'd try a darker color. Maybe not black if that's too boring but maybe darkgreen would do. OR a light contrast color. Like red, orange or pink. That would make the blue pop out alot more, althoght it might look unnatural. It's up to you. Avoid colors with blue in it, like violet, blue and a more blue-ish green.
