That actually looks pretty cool and practical. I would make the grip a bit longer or the blade a bit shorter, but the design itself isn't flawed at all.

I like the design of this scimitar (and some martial art don't use guard too, don't ask me why).

Great rendig 
But in the real world a weapon like this cant protect you very much, because it doesn't have even a small guard that can stop other blade from cutting your fists or even your hand

Pretty nice rendering! I love the design. Reminds me a bit of the scimitars Drizzt uses in R.A. Salvatore's books, but I'm not sure if you're familiar with those. Kep up the great work!
