Description
"Am I doing a nice work as chief? Would you be proud of me?""I am so proud of you son!"
MyΒ entry for the Discover your Duo contest ! I love the change of their relationship, how Stoick changed his mind and listened his son. I cried so much when he died, and thought that was really brave of DreamWorks to make that scene.
Hope you like it!

I was not ready in any form for the feels this brought back from the second movie, or the impacts from it you feel in the 3rd. This piece, I feel, unleashes the emotions tied to Hiccup's Father's death perfectly. This piece was EXCEPTIONALLY well done in my opinion.

OMG! Thank you so much! I'm so glad that I could gave you all thouse emotions! (I'm saying this in a really nice way, btw). Stoic's death is so touching, because they were so happy singing together a moment before...

In all honesty, it was the way that Stoic died that made that scene what it was; the fact that he's killed by Toothless, no matter the circumstances, made it all the more heartbreaking... especially given the realism of Hiccup's reaction to it all. I don't cry at movies... this brought me to tears for the first time ever in a theater. I have high regards for that.
And then, as I've mentioned previously, the work that you made there really brought it all back from the 2nd movie. I don't have enough praise for how well done this is.

Wow! Thank you! I am very happy to be able to pass these emotions on to you. I agree with that it is a very shocking scene, I was shocked at the movies. Very strong, Hiccup pushing Toothless.

DreamWorks did! I cried in every single movie, and knew that I have to make something between Hiccup and Stoic! Thank you!

Oof. I wasn't prepared to feel things x''D
But seriously, I really like this. It's such a unique take on the contest theme; and for that fact alone, I'd be rooting for it to win. Add to that the level of emotion you've captured here, the character detail... not to even mention that gorgeous background! All combined so flawlessly into the one picture.

Awww thank you for the support. When I was thinking about what to draw, I knew that had to have a big emotion. The scene of Stoic death was so shocking to me, and I think Hiccup misses him a lot.
