Give em a new job, new awkward or badass weapons, different anime/cartoon environments or real world locations, or riding in/on vehicles. Then add on a hard to draw angled perspective?

haha well maybe set the perspective part aside for now (but I bet you could do it, BL has some pretty cool perspective shots and your style would look pretty cool foreshortened in an extreme perspective)

Aaaaaaaaand Kiss (with your cigarettes) XD On a serious note though it looks like they're battling it out in a staring contest with neither one willing to back down until they win.
If you're looking for ideas, my suggestion is to have Rock and Revy amidst a hailstorm of bullets while bouncing away on pogo sticks as they blast their enemies away with more GUNS!!!
Too ambitious perhaps, but at least its something action packed and creative. ^^
