Beautiful redesign, great shading, colors, prints and textures.
They resemble a little the girls from Mattel's Ever After High.

Maybe that's why I liked them so much.
I discovered Ever After High a few months ago online browsing toys at amazon.com, and yes they're expensive! I wanted to buy Dexter or the Huntsman and his "hidden" girlfriend but I just can't!
