Good job on this. I use Vue for my planets too, but I always add the atmosphere during postwork in photoshop because I'm never satisfied with how my atmoshere looks using Vue. Did you use Vue for the atmosphere and if so do you mind sharing how?

This is only vue project... It's very simple : go in option >> Unit and cordinate >> activate the sphere terrestrial >> then adjust the diameter to 500 km ... finish...

Nice job, it looks really good. You should try the layered sphere method to make planets in Vue too, that way the clouds have shadows and you can add specularity. Here is one I did in Vue using that method: [link]

Ok, But If I want to put an infinite terrain then in another layer i want to create a infinite terrain and spherize it, I can do that ? And HOW ?

You are going to have to make your own terrain and specularity maps. Make it really big, like 10000X5000. Follow this tutorial: [link]

Hey, I saw the first image and I created the entire planet with only msyself WITHOUT follow the tutorial... And I think it's a better Result XD

Very nice! What were your render settings? Did you use the high resolution "Blue Marble" texture? And how did you do the clouds and add the specularity?

Well , you can use photoshop ? I hope yes, because I modified some map, for example the one of light, on photoshop...
The Cloud Layer was the easyest ! XD
Clouds :
I Added another gound that is really near on the surface of the earth... then in the function-material editor i added to alpha a map that is default in the map of vue and I inverted it... in this way you can see on your map in the function : the clouds are black and the background is white. Then i added the same map in bump and DON'T invert it. for the color i use a white white...
Clouds Finished... The ground is " BLUE MARBLE: LAND SURFACE, SHALLOW WATER, AND SHADED TOPOGRAPHY " ... Then the point of light on the darkness were very easy : I added another ground ( infinite plane ) and i put that between the cloud layer and the surface, but nearer at the surface... i added the map you download from the website in alpha and i inverted it... then i added a map white in the color... then in the effect ( in material editor, NOT IN FUNCTION EDITOR ) I added luminosity to 80 %...
Good Luck !

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. When I render a planet using this technique I will send you a link so you can see it.

No, the link to the tutorial I sent you is not mine. What I mean is when I make a planet using the method you described I will let you know how it comes out.

Sorry, I don't have Facebook. I tried using your steps to make the clouds, but I was not successful. Can explain explain in more detail how you did it?
Thanks!

Im pretty sure mars has a reddish atomsphere, its also very thin. I would make it a little thinner and change the color. Other than that it looks pretty good

But to make the atmosphear thinner than this yes... I agree with you on that.

Well, the atmosphear i created on that planet I think is perfect... See the Image on web, the real photo dive to the planet an atmosphear more blue than the mine...XD
