Description It took me the whole last saturday to paint everything but it was worth it I think.

The original plate comes from a photo I took on the airplane during my flight back to Naples from France. I took this picture from the window I was sitting next to while soaring over the city

That mountain is the Vesuvio, the volcano of Naples, and I thought it might be a great scene for some fantasy painting: so it was!
I tried to imagine the earth in 1000 years from now with the ground beginning to collapse under the core rising temperature, a strong greenhouse effect and the people building new cities inside new mountains came from strong earthquakes of the past. I don't know what the lasers are used for... maybe a way to fix the atmosphere?
I need your help eheh

This piece of work is amazing! It must've taken you a while to make it. By the way, would you mind if I use this picture in a collage I'm working on? I promise that I'll credit you for your artwork being used.

I really like this, especially the lights in the stone structure. I think you should probably look at the shadows though, I think the light source is coming from the right, yet the stone tower has no shadow from what I can see.

Actually the minute i saw this i thought
wow humanity has found a way to harness Geo-energey,meaning these babies are giant energy collectors taking the cores heat and transforming it into pure energy.

Neat idea?

Great art! But i think you cant upload an image with watermarks to the contest, you can be disqualified, consult the rules to see if this is true, but i think it is.

the lasers made me think of shield generators...you know, to block the sun out, since the ozone will be totally gone by that time.

What a great scene. The lasers remind me of beacons or something, maybe the atmosphere is so thick that only these beams can penetrate to allow for extra planetary vessels to make a safe landing

Hi Giuseppe, I saw a comment you made on one of Radojavor's latest pieces and came to have a look at your gallery.

I really like your style, it's just a shame you don't put up slightly bigger images. 470 pixels in not quite enough to judge all the details, especially in a piece like this one... but that's just my two cents, I understand the need to protect your art.

As for the function of the lasers, there are real world projects to have solar satellites send the collected energy back down to earth via microwave beams. While those would not exactly be visible to the human eye, I would think this is something similar

Thank you for your comment, I do know that they are small and probably I will upload them slightly larged but with a watrmark anyway.
Thank you for your idea and news about the lasers
