Missed Connections is an ongoing series I started in June of 2007. Periodically I visit the Minneapolis chapter of craigslist.com. There are personal ads, classifieds, jobs, apartments, etc. There is also a link called “missed connections” where people can post if they were out running errands or at a bar or whatever and they saw someone who caught their eye, and they’d like to see them again. This way they can (hopefully) get in touch with each other. People also post if they’ve got something to say to someone they are or were in a relationship with. Some of them are incredibly cheesy, some of them are hilarious, and some of them are beautifully poetic. All of them are glimpses into one moment in a stranger’s life. I take the ones I like, take a photograph that I think fits with the message, and make a collage. It is meant to be viewed as a series, so look at them all if you can!
