Description
Tribute to one of the greatest wizard of our century, Hayao Miyazaki.PIc done for Epita convention in Paris.
I must confess that I'm quite pleased with the sky, and that the mountains were easier to do that I first guessed. But the city was a pain.... <<;;

Howl is from Howl's Moving Castle From the Ghibli Studios.

But no Chihiro at this time, All the details I wanted to put in it were too time-consuming. I'll try again later ^ ^

This is great! I loved the movie, "Howl's Moving Castle". Oddly enough though, I detested the original book by Diane Wayne Jones. *shrugs*

Miazaki changed the story dramatically when he made the movie. But that was fine by me, though I know a lot of people were really upset.

It's really beautiful, and I do have to say I'm biased because I love this character so much.
Real quick question--which arm is he using? It looks like only one, but since the thumb is towards the viewer, it should be his left hand; however, there's a line where his chest crosses in FRONT of the arm, suggesting it's his right. ..... Never mind! At first glance it looks like the thumb is facing out, but I looked at it a bit closer and see that it's not. Haha, sorry. 8D;;;

I totally should have draw the second arm, that's what a friend told me when she saw the finished pic, and she was totally right. But I was ain a big rush when I draw this picture ^ ^;;
Anyway it's indeed his right arms, the chest does cross in front of it. And the coloring of the thumb could be a bit better I confess... I've went to fast on this one ^ ^

For the credits, I gave them for the Ghibli studio because my pic is entirely based upon the movie (I didn't read the books)
It's more a question of character design here. I've saw a lot of others fanarts showing Howl and Sophie from the book, and they look quite different.
This pic is just a Miyazaki fanart. I don't pretend to represent Howl the way the original author meant here ^ ^
