For some reason my browser wouldn't let me write a critique.. so I'll just post something here I guess.
Great composition and exposure. Your shot definitely captures the moment and the subject well. My only qualms are:
- The background is a bit distracting, perhaps a wider aperture would have been more apropriate
- The subject might seem more appropriate towards the left instead of so close to the center
... overall though, a flawless capture and great image.

yeah, i know the thing with the apparture. i wasnt paying atention when i took the photo. kinda disapointed me, but well, it happens...
you're right about the postioning and cropping. i already moved him a bit to the left but i cant do much more there. maybe i'll see him again on my next trip to ireland

very nice capture. though, i believe framing could be arranged better as the right part of the photo seems to be a bit too empty.

Hmmmmm very interesting...
I love the concept, playing a guitar with broken strings by himself, etc. But I think it could be made a little more dramatic, you know what I mean? More depth in the photo by bringing out the whites a little so its not all one tone. Love the lighting on his face by the way.
Besides the contrast, I like it.

Aside from the beautiful subject matter, and slightly-to-the-left-of-center composition, what I love most about this piece is the range from white to black that you were able to capture. The complete grayscale shown here creates plenty of contrast, but in a soft, gentle way. The facial expression of the singer is very moving, as most of us can relate to how it feels to sing in the shower or in the car, but maybe not from the heart. There is also a wonderful variety of texture in this piece...his skin, the bag, the wall, etc. Very well done
