I love it what do you use to paint? It says digital art and I was just curious about what program you used.

well, what can I say. you really know how to use light and shadow to give depth to your paintings, plus you are not afraid of using color...
I can learn a lot from you so I'm gonna watch you. hope you don't mind

awesome dude! what brushes and opacity do you use in photshop to do this?

do you use very high opacity and change the colour often? or stick with only a few colours but layer it with a low opacity?

gizmodus In reply to tibro [2005-06-23 14:08:05 +0000 UTC]

mostly i use the default hard, round brush with pressure sensitivity set to opacity. i started this painting with a gradient and two colors with a slightly different hue (in this case a saturated blue and a brighter, less saturated turquoise). it's important that there's a certain variety of colors form the beginning because this way you can use the gradient as your palette (i use the color picker a lot).
btw my layers are mostly set to 100%.
hope i could help...

Wow, at first when I saw the thumbnail in the forum, it looked like a photo! The perspective grid must be fricking awesome because this painting is so intense and different from anything I've seen lately. The theme of being under the dock is amazing in itself, let alone the colors and the detail. I love the added touch of the graffitti on the walls. The foggy depths of the picture are just breathtaking. Awesome work. You need more recognition, man.

Thanks! I've been painting for a year or so. I use a perspective grid to get the perspective right, so you cannot do much wrong
