I've never actually played the game yet (I was going to get it for PS2 but found out it was coming out for Wii)I have no idea whatsoever what this game is about.
In the characters section of their art site I saw many different white animals with red patterns.
I thought a stag beetle would be cool.

hm looks great, even after you dont know but the game is one of the greastest and beautifullest i ever have seen, if you can get, play them!^^

ive seen several of the okami submissions, most make me go "meh." but this one i like. the simplicity and design is effective. good job

those animals are much like the 12 zodiacs:
rat, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, hog.
but in Okami there is 13 (plus a cat), I guess it's because the Japanese love cats...XD
