Hey! Still trying to get myself back into art, so I thought "why not re-do an old artwork of mine? Faithful to the original in concept, but not in exact details (otherwise that's no fun!)December 2013:
Sexy, sexy improvement. Even if Soarin's expression still looks like more could have been done with it...
Time taken: About 4 hours? Wasn't counting, and was getting distracted while shading it.

to be frank I love the concept I love the execution I love the character choice, but I think it still needs a little work mainly in the areas of anatomical correctness and balance. I read the other critiques and agree that sorin should be a bit larger and the face needs work it needs to be more angular, now the back ground is great no doubt about that, but I think there could be more to it maybe a cloud building like in clouds dale, now for some up beat, dash , just amazing seriously amazing, now I think dash was well drawn with a lot of heart poured into her for this lots of blatant flirting and instant understanding of her role in the piece so I say to you great job , and with a little improvement and practice it could be some thing to strike awe into the hearts of many

I like how Rainbow's eyes are dreamy. It gives a sense of love and being 'far-away'. Her hair looks as if it is blowing in wisps, as caused by a gusty breeze. This also gives the sense of love and/or flirting with Soarin.
Soaring looks like he is flattered, but surprised. He looks quite a bit younger than he does in the show. I think that his face (especially) should be a little bigger, and that his body should upsize a bit too. He is a stallion, but he looks a bit like Rainbow Dash.
Overall, it looks amazing! I like the clouds in the background!

wow, I gotta say, overall this picture is amazing.
In technique and appearance is interesting:
The organization itself is appealing, with both Soarin and Rainbow dash to the right of the pic while her right wing stretches to the left balancing out the characters in the picture ^^ . The anatomy looks great, though Soarin's snout doesn't seem right in my opinion: he's a stallion so i think i could be bigger in height e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/aā¦ " width="19" height="19" alt="
By the "message of the picture" this is totally funny and amazing. their face expresisons are so cute and adorable with rainbow dash flrting and the big stallion blushing X3. He even has his wings standing up XD. and hers working as an arm That is awesome
Overal this picture is awesome and the best stuff about it is the content of the characters XD. So now I say: keep up the good work ^^
