Helmetless Samus in her PED suit. One of two pieces based on Metroid Prime 3 Corruption that I'm working on. The second will be more dynamic and possibly more abstract. Maybe. This was just my excuse to draw Samus without a helmet. This game was fun
This took 3 days as opposed to 2 which I was aiming for. Damn. I was having issues with several parts, such as the face, but I think I was able to make it work. Last piece before the end of 2007 hehe.

I can really see the pain of everything Samus has experienced in the story weighing heavily on her shoulders. Seeing her fellow hunters and colleagues become corrupted and having to kill them, especially Rundas, must just be eating at her soul.Β
And there's the almost fatalistic expression on her face, constantly grappling with the morbid truth that the corruption that devoured the other hunters is slowly consuming her. And she wonders if she can save the universe one last time before it's too late.Β

Phazon corruption. I have no idea what it does, besides giving you blue Green Goblin from The Amazing Spider-Man 2-style marks and making you vomit Phazon.

Great picture, one its really detailed, two its like only the 2nd artwork of Samus that isn't a shitty zero suit picture with exaggerated "features". But yeah, kick ass.

I thoroughly enjoyed it actually, despite a few people saying it wasn't metroid enough or whatever. I actually devoted 2 whole days just to completing the game, meaning I'd wake up, and just play the whole day untill I slept, stopping only to eat or take a bathroom break.
There's another scene I want to paint, involving the battle with grayadana or whatever her name is haha. I thought it was one of the most visually epic things I've ever seen in a game. Ive just never gotten a chance to get to it

excellent im glad you didnt go for the 'ugly' samus from Echoes and Corruption AND zero mission. It almost made me sick when i saw her at the end of corruption. Good job though.

this is awesome. i love how you pulled everything off. the veins on her face are cool, and the hair is very well done. while the suit isn't exactly like it really is, your spin on it is definitely good. this is an example of how i wish i drew.

it's mostly the way the gun looks and the number of tiles on her midsection armor.

Ahh, yes I almost forgot about the gun. I mainly referenced the one in the art gallery, which is pretty much why it looks completely different from the standard arm cannon
