***RIP H. R. Giger. May 12th 2014***Finally decided to draw a Xenomorph! (From Alien, Aliens and the other films!)
Done within a day, looked at loads of photos and references as well as using my memory from the films!
Used 3B and 5B pencils, and a 3B mechanical pencil, on A4 sized paper.
Again the scanner picked up all the graininess, but the actual drawing is a lot smoother. Still haven't figured out how to fix this.
Update: 17/04/2018 Someone had this tattooed on them! Was doing a back search on my drawing, and wasn't expecting to find this!

I had that same problem once scanning comic line-art I found this article on it to solve it
its basicly the same problem where the scanner picks up textures the human eye cant often in the paper itself.

but basicly you -Scan as grayscale on a high dpi and sharpen it with an unsharp mask and then convert to bitmap or jpeg etc
