This is great work, I'm still wondering why HG hasn't created more new Mecha like this. If they can't make new Valkyries why not something like this? I know Yune tried to turn another non transforming jet into a Veritech.

Anyway, awesome work! This would make an awesome figure.

Hello:
Β This artwork is absolutely gorgeous and truly feasible , you made an outstanding study of the design to be able to create a transformation for it.

Β When I return to make Robotech 3d models, can I try to make a version of this veritech?

Nice job. It looks like something out of transformers.

A Transformable Spectre-II. Awesome. I'm always on the lookout for more transformable mecha in this style.

This is the Spectre or Sylphide Fighter from the Robotech Masters (Super Dimensional Calvary Southern Cross). And no it was not a Veritech, nor was it transformable. But I like the concept...Cool!

The TV show had a reference to a Veritech Fighter squadron and then cut to an image of Sylphides attacking.

It was not transformable...

This is a nice "what if", but the original Series SDF Southern Cross did not portray this craft as a transformable mecha. In the original ROBOTECH, which makes use of SDF SC, the writing was often vague and inconsistent. "Veritech" squadron was a generic term (in error) for fighter squadrons. Veritech actually means nothing. The root word "Veri" means nothing. Ostensibly, the English language would demand "veritech" be spelled "VARI-tech" as in variable geometry or Variable configuration TECHnology. What you are experiencing is an unfortunate result of rushed production material and writing that was likely 11th hour as the series was cobbled together.

Bottom line this was not a tranformable Mecha.

Way to miss the point!

The point was that the TV show made a reference to Sylphids being Veritech Fighters; and yes, I knew already that the Sylphid in the original animation was not a transformable fighter. Ironically, though, it was a better mecha design than the actual transforming aircraft in Southern Cross; the improbable Auroran helicopter and insipid Logan ground-attack plane. So I'm actually on-board with ignoring the Southern Cross canon and going with the reference in Robotech to the Sylphid being a Variable/Veritech Fighter.

Oh I get it...I read your first post . It implied that because the Narrator or some character said Veritech Fighter Squadron and then showed the Sylphids (which isn't it's name) that it too was a Veritech Fighter. It isn't. MY point was that it referred to it as a Veritech in error. Like I said, What you are basing your point on was a poor choice of words on the writer's part. It isn't a Veritech and as far as I am aware the Canon name for this aircraft is not known.

To clear things up, a couple of Facts:
1. Veritech means "able to transform in into at least 2 distinct modes".
2. ROBOTECH was notorious for dialogue errors / rushed writing on a tight dealine.
3. The Sylphid is not transformable in the OSM nor has that capability ever been alluded to in any RT canon.

All this symantics aside, this is a REALLY cool take on a "what if" for this Aircraft.

Never saw much of this one. Didn't know it was transformable. Those wings in the battloid mode are just asking for trouble.
