oh wow, this is cute... I kind of stumbled on it by accident but it reminds me of.. well.. some pikachu plushies I sewed when I was in high school xD (they're on this page but a better pic is here .) I actually based the idea on this cutesy tiling webpage background which I found on a web page in like 1998. xD
I wonder if any of these influences touched you, too... the power of the pikachu blob is indeed overwhelming!
