Description
Ten years ago I made 6 small cabinets for outside sheds. Pine boards, plywood and some shake shingles. A few hinges and a knob, and a glass panel make up this one. I just shot this one yesterdayand from a few lost shakes,it still looks good to me,weathered, but good. The insulators happened to show up one day..

Love this. It's fantastic. Question... Think you couls fashion a rustic flower arrangement out of shingle scraps? I reckon you could.... It'd be amazing

I started out in copper foil but I really wanted to work lead. When I got the opportunity to get a class in lead I gave up the 'foil..

wonderful I imagine this is a popular route to working in leaded glass ... I never had the opportunities being homeless a good deal of the time ...other stuff but alway wanted to work in stained glass where the glass is painted and fired with the image in a kiln ... is from visiting European cathedrals as a child I think

I've never had the opportunity to paint glass and fire it as they did way back. My artistic abilities only allow me to get enough down on paper for my glass. Any more and it turns out pretty bad. I'm amazed at the talent here and what folks can do in all aspects of traditional art. You include of course!..

It takes a large studio to work like that such as are employed in repairing old cathedrals... it would have been good to have had an apprentice ship back then but now its fine to go out drawing as much as possible!
thanks very much your arts are superb!

Thank you! I've a small one in the bathroom, as a second medicine cabinet. They come in handy, I think one for spices,in the kitchen would be cool too. You have a good weekend..
