Description Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I don't have a "secret place", yet I am beginning to realize that it is not a place, but is a state of my heart. Some people go to a place to be open before God and seek His face. But I'm tired of visiting, I want to abide in His shadow.

So I have to change my heart, to be open before God everywhere, not putting off openness to Him for certain times, or certain places. I want to abide constantly. I see that prayer and seeking tend to be limited by when and where. But openness to the Lord is something that can be a constant "passive" action; a countenance of heart.

You'll have to download it for the full size, I wanted to be merciful to the few remaining 56k's out there.
This picture is 1680x1050, a resolution for large wide screen LCD computer screens. I have a friend who has one and I wanted to make a wallpaper for him to see it on that huge screen. I made this and gave it to him (but it was before I added the text), I liked it, but I still felt like something was missing. I had been wanting to put a bible verse to one of my pictures for a while but I could never find anything that remotely matches. I didn't want to simply slap a verse on it and submit it, I felt bad enough that the original intention of the picture wasn't to have the verse on it. So I had been looking through my pictures and saw this one again, and felt to look up "shadow" in the Bible when I saw the picture.
The text actually took me longer to make than the picture. I wanted to get the text to blend in with the picture; to be a part of it rather than just on top. In the end I'm really happy with how this turned out, and that it does have meaning to me, since this very thing has been on my heart lately, to be dwelling in the secret place of the Lord.

I hope you all like it, and that it reminds you to seek Him, and abide in Him, by being open, praying, and seeking.

actually it is CGI (computer graphic image) It was made using computer programs: Bryce, and Photoshop

But the model is in fact, a glass sphere, in a crystal basin/bowl-like terrain-map thing.

Thanks though, thats cool you thought it was real

Honesty, I like what you wrote more than the picture. Not to down the artwork, of course

Thats cool, the word really means alot to me too, moreso than how i like the picture. The crazy thing is, the day after I put this picture up, a friend of mine preached a sermon at a group i goto, and it was on the very same verse! I was freaked out, the message might has well been spoken directly to me, as it had been exactly what I needed to hear. God works in really cool ways, even if its somthing as small as putting a verse in a picture. And then I was the one affected! crazy stuff.

Yeah, I find the same thing happens with the sermons at my church a lot of the time. Pretty cool

It kind of looks like an iced over staircase with a ball dropping in the middle onto a silky cloth of some sort making that cool ripple.

I really like it! Kudos to you for putting a message with your composition!

thank you. to me it's like a sphere filled with stars, creating a shock wave of shadows and light through crystals around it. But really now that I look at it, it kinda does look like silk!
