Nonsense, everything about this is great. Badass imagery, color choices are masterful ^^

What do you think is the problem with the background?
Perhaps a yellowish or orange tint of the highlights on it can make it blend in some more?
Please note me if you like. Perhaps I can help?

I think the background in general is bad. The edges of the rocks, their shape; the shadows and lights and as you said the blending of background and Lucifer^^
I'm just not good at painting environment
The picture is a bit older, but I'd still have problems with these aspects if I tried to improve it.
If you could help, that'd be really nice Thank you for the offer.

I would try and think of the whole background if I need one. I would like to add that I like those pointed stones since they contrast nicely with his softer curves and muscles. The stones just stick out a bit to much due to the hightlights and the face that they are sharp, something blurry can often be seen as more far away.

The light does not seems to come from one place. I would sometimes put a large dot where the light is coming from on a layer above everything when I'm unsure if there needs to be more highlights somewhere. I still tend to deviate from it but still.

The stones are illuminated by a whiteish ligh from above right now and Lucifer only with a firey glow from beneath and our left side. No whiteish light is seen on him right now.

I've no idea about how much you can change with this since I do not know the original file.

You're right, it might help if I blurred the background a bit, makes sense.

And I really hadn't thought of the secound source of light that should be seen on Lucifer too. Oh my xD Thanks for pointing that out.

I think I can change quite a bit, since I do most of my work in PS and always use like 100 layers

Thank you for your help! I'm not sure when I will work on this piece again, but I'll definetely do it some day.
