Your dearly missed old friend! A lovely tribute to the best enterprise ever. A lovely picture thank you. P.S. I love the Galaxy class so much, i have one in Star Trek Online.

I tried to make it look like one of those constellation maps.

Beautiful. It brings a tear to my eye, because I did cry towards the end of Star Trek Generations.

This is a tribute to the movie "Star Trek: Generations," which made absolutely no sense.

Not a tribute to the movie, but a tribute to the ship.

"E" is a fine successor. "D" was one of the best ships in the fleet.

I really do like Enterprise E, but there was just something about the Enterprise D that I just loved. The main problem the E is the poor writing of the Next Gen movies.

Definately. I think I like her better than the "E". The "E"'s kind of stretched out. Heard they had a real hard time getting any good camera angles to work with her where she's so "low to the ground".

What I didn't like was how they got rid of the Enterprise D. When they killed the Original Enterprise it cost Captain Kirk his son, and it saved Spock. "My God Bones, what have I done?" - Kirk. "What you had to do, what you always do. Turned death into a fighting chance to live." - McCoy. The Enterprise D was treated like "Oh well, we'll build another one."

Yes. They went out of their way to make her expendable, just so they could write in a new ship and sets.

Not only the NG series. They cut the budget on the TOS series to such an extent they were forced to use NG sets in "Undiscovered Country" and apparently, the budget was sooo small, they couldn't re-dress the sets enough to disguise the fact. Anyone who had seen the NG movies could sit in the theater and pick out every set they used- the most glaring being Sickbay, the Breifing Room, and the Transporter Room.
"Undiscovered Country" had a good story- but the execution was terrible.

It's what failed about the entire Next Gen movie series, poor writing. 'First Contact' was the only movie where Captain Picard was truly emotional and animated. They should have written movies involving the life and death struggle between the Borg and the Federation.
