Awww it's so sweet. It's not his personality, as far as the anime is concerned, but I feel Mugen had some kind of hidden feelings for her. I mean, he did give up his sword in the last episode to save her.

I feel it's a good thing to see a sweet side to any character, no matter how bad ass they may be.
