Really, I just search Sims 2 downloads on google and check out the sites XD most of my stuff comes from modthesims , garden of shadows , The Sims Cave , and this site: [link] (for at least Mello's clothes pictured here). Besides the downloads, I just played around in bodyshop until they closer resembled the characters.

Well, it means that you don't have the right game installed to use it so you can't use those particular downloads.
