i tried not to adopt the third eye headcanon but oops.my thoughts: cecil has different stages of appearance. off air he looks like a normal human, on air he has a third eye and occasionally ghosts of tendrils, pissed off he has a mouth full of daggers and his eyes glow a bit. it can all be controlled, but the more emotional/distracted he is the harder it becomes to fully maintain. i also really like the moving, manifesting tattoos headcanon soβ¦thatβs also a thing.

nah, carlos totally knows already. it weirded him out at first because no cecil radio hosts are NOT supposed to have third eyes regardless of their journalism prowess and towns are NOT supposed to be able to gift additional facial features! TOWNS shouldn't be able to GIFT anything!!! but after some testing he's categorized it as mostly definitely harmless and probably not a cause for future concern.

nah, none of this is actually in the podcast. it's all just my own personal headcanons that i like to go on about whenever given the opportunity. sorry if i happened to confuse you or anything.Β the way the podcast is set up allows for the listeners to draw their own conclusions about....a lot of things, really.
like cecil's third eye is not actual fact. a lot of people just decided they really liked that idea and decide to include it in their portrayals of him.Β however, i'd imagine that were cecil to actually have a third eye, it'd be pretty hard to hide, and carlos would inevitably discover it upon meeting with him face-to-face. considering what is known of carlos' personality, he'd likely run some tests, figure out that it's just another explainable night vale quirk (this one harmless at least), and then move on to another weird science mystery.

I know Cecil's thrid eye is a fan creation XD I like most illustrations of Cecil and Carlos I've seen so far... Strangely enough a third eye seems to fit Cecil, if you base it upon how he seems to know just about everything which is going on in NIght Vale, before and while it is happening lol..

yeah, it's always seems weird to me when people draw it as if it were drawn on. i mean, i understand if they're portraying it as a tattoo, but when it's meant to be a literal third eye, it makes no sense for it not to be embedded.

for me, i consider night vale sentient and it gifted cecil a third eye which allows him to "see" what's happening around town as it happens so he can report it on his show easier. that way he can actually be the voice of night vale in ability, not just name. that's just my personal headcanon, though. not sure how other people view it. i know there's a lot of people who imagine cecil as being inhuman, half eldritch, things like that.

Better I guess. I don't know I don't see him as being weird...okay not that weird. I see him being similar to us in terms of weird, or just used to his world. I mean when taken over by the glow cloud I can see some freaky stuff going on but come on!
