Well if your willing to buy, the set price would be what the AB was since I don't want to be unfair to the other person if this was set on set price. So if you are okay with the price 15$ or 1,500 points, I can do it!

and don't worry! I can try to explain the best I can. ^^ I hope none will sound confusing I am not the best at explaining things. XD
So usually in auctions you have a starting bid (SB), Minimum increase (MI), and Auto buy (AB).
The Starting bid is the amount of what a person has to start bidding with. Like if the starting bid is 3 dollars, they have to start the bid with 3 dollars, no less. They can start it with a higher bid or even AB instead if they want to. xD
Minimum increase is how much they have to increase the next bid. Like if the Minimum increase is 1 dollar they have to raise their next bid by at least 1 dollar. (of course they can do more then 1 dollar if they want, just no less)
and of course the AutoBuy is like a insist buy. First person to AB gets the adopt/YCH/etc right away.
I recommend people to reply to the highest bid comment each time they bid, so they know when they get outbid as well. You can also set a time/date when the auction ends too, unless it's AB it ends early to that person who AB.
This is pretty confusing, I was not sure how it worked at first too. x'D I hope my explaining isn't confusing, if you need more information or questions, let me know. ^^ I can try to help. and if you ever wanted to try one, you can show me in st.ash or something to see if you got it right and such before post. :3 Hope this helps!

I'm not really sure if you can open them back open again, most people I see don't do it but I think you can if you want to? I'm not 100% sure... xD So I'm guessing it's best used for big things or things you are unsure to price at. Or that's how I do it. x'D
