Aaaaand here we have a painting of Cream the Rabbit and the Tails Doll mutation from Sonic #247. You know, I used to think that Titan Tails from Sonic #150 was the creepiest design Archie ever came up with, but this... thing... is a strong contender for the title. I just hope Cream has got plenty of lives left.
So what do you think about Archie's take on the Tails Doll? Is it an imaginative elaboration of a Sonic trope, or did Archie take its creepiness just a liiiiiiittle too far?

Holy hell, you outdid yourself this time.
Reading back to before Worlds Collide started I wondered the true impact of the Tails Doll menace. This artwork really speaks to me on the depth of the monster behind the facade of its whimsical mask.
The lighting and gradients of the glowing reds and blues really speak of its impending malice, along with the detailing around the tentacles and fanged mouth in its stomach, while maintaining a balance of fleshing out, along with Cream's visage; the wrinkling and glazed eye look was a nice touch.
The shading an detail's best feature was creating a sense of terror and deep darkness without resorting to macabre or morbid imagery; it's like you were able to successfully instill a sense of fear without pushing it past the 'PG' mark, like suggestive undertones that do the dirty work for the act.

That thing is more f***ed up than Titan Tails, and that's really saying something. I much prefer Metal Sonic's version of the "building itself a new body" trick.
