Damn, I miss this show. I’ve been on a Tiny Toons high recently, thanks to the surge of episodes on YouTube, so I threw this together pretty quickly. Buster and Babs Bunny (no relation) from their water fight in How I Spent My Summer Vacation, Plucky as Batduck (a.k.a. the Duck Knight XD ) with his faithful sidekick Decoy, Fifi and Furrball from Aroma Amore, and Shirley... uh... just being Shirley.BTW, can someone please explain to me why Fifi chasing Furrball is more ‘politically correct’ than Pepé le Pew chasing Penelope Pussycat? I never got that. On that note, with Babs in that skimpy bathing suit and Buster with a water pistol, does anyone detect a suggestive metaphor between the rabbit co-hosts? I shouldn’t be allowed to think... >_<

I wondered why if two go to the same school, fifi did not recognize furball in that episode where the latter painted a white line in the tail. I know it was a cartoon but just weigh it once.fun and treasured memories of a childhood childhood well representing.

I remember when I first saw advertisements for Tiny Toon Adventures way back when I was rather excited about the series. However, an episode or two was all it took for me to realize that the writing was no where near the level of genius of classic Loony Toons, and that the humor was not the sort I liked.
Over the years I've heard a lot of good things online about the series, and I had convinced myself I didn't give the series enough of a chance back in the day. So when I recently I came across an old VHS of the Summer Vacation movie at a thrift store I grabbed it. ...After watching about half an hour of it, patiently waiting for something (anything) I found funny or enjoyable to happen, I finally gave up on it. Assuming the Summer Vacation movie is similar to the rest of the series, I guess my initial impression of the series was right after all.
Oh well, I like this picture as a piece of art, anyway.

Tiny Toons has a different tone from the Looney Tunes, but I always thought the episodes had a cracking sense of humour. My favourite is the episode "Thirteensomething", which has some great character moments for Buster and Babs. The series deserves the praise it gets.

I mentioned liking your picture; actually I rather like the character design and animation of the show itself, so even I can see Tiny Toons isn't without some good qualities. And I'm well aware everyone has different tastes (and different senses of humor), so I'm not trying to say no one else should like it, I'm just saying I don't fully see the appeal myself.
As for Animaniacs, I haven't seen much of it, but what I have seen looked rather good (or to be more precise the writing seems well done and the humor more to my tastes than that of Tiny Toons; ironically though I don't like the character designs as much as the Tiny Toon character designs).

"How I Spent My Summer Vacation" is one of the greatest animated stories of a generation. In my mind, it was more than enough to justify placing the show in Looney canon. Even the greats themselves would struggle to entertain for that epic duration without resorting to stock footage!

Leave it to fox network to cancel everything... Or in the case of Tiny Toons, move reruns to the WB... And then be cancelled for good.
