Digimon re:LOAD
In the year 21XX, a technology has taken the world by storm in the past decades-- Digital Service Assistants, known more widely and commercially as Digiserv. Stored in small control modules and able to be materialized at will, Digiserv are fully tangible AI.
Created and distributed by the monolithic TITAN Corporation, based in the high-tech Stella City, they were introduced 20 years ago and have since become as ubiquitous as cellphones, performing many roles around the home, in the community, and in the workplace.

Our story opens when thirteen-year-old Milo gets hit by a bolt from the blue (read: beaned in the head by a damaged Digiserv control module out of the clear blue sky). He takes it home to his family's computer repair store. The kicker here, though: the fiery Hitoka.MON it contains seems a bit too self-aware-- and insists that he's a Digimon.

When more and more Digiserv throughout Stella City start awakening, not all of them friendly, there are two major questions to be answered: how is the TITAN Corporation controlling and distributing Digimon-- and what's just now setting them loose?

well, hold onto your pants if that's what you're thinking, I'll be talking about that soon.

Pre-emptively:
-There will be no explicit universal connections to either re:GENESIS or re:CONNECT, but I'll likely populate background characters with species of digimon I've used before. Because of the multiversal conceit of my Digimon fics, though (see: if you've read all of re:GEN, you know what I mean), there may be a couple shoutouts for eagle-eyed readers.
-I'm still hammering out details, so a lot of specifics may change.
-Yes, it's a dudefest. It's my story, I'll write what I want to.
-There will be a fourth human/digimon partnership that will join the team later, as is traditional. There will actually be multiple other human/digimon pairs because of the universe is set up not only invites but basically demands multiple people to have digimon as more digiserv awaken, but only very specific pairs will have an actual digivice. Because fate.
-Yes, I am using the fandom joke that .mon is the extension for a filetype. I couldn't resist.
-Site will be coming in a couple weeks.
