Sorry for the lack of posts! I know you guys voted on a traditional piece forever ago. OTL I'll definitely try to upload more soon!Anyways, I've recently retaken interest in watercolor (or rather started taking the medium more seriously) and I've fallen in love. I may like it even more than Copics (or in the least they tie
). So about this piece! I scored an amazing deal for the introductory set of Daniel Smith watercolors (the one with six 5ml tubes of primaries). These are the first 'professional' watercolors I've ever owned and I am so in love. They make a world of difference. I also invested in some Arches watercolor paper to get the most out of them.
I lined the piece with microns and drew the sketch digitally (using my light box to transfer the lines to the watercolor paper). Overall, I find this method to be really helpful for me!Sorry about the blurred edge. X_X This piece is 9x12, but my scanner is only designed for 8x10. Next time, I'll definitely take a photo instead.

Hahaha. I could have guessed as much. I'm not much for super dark color palettes when it comes to watercolor. They can look really muddy done wrong. I'm still learning the medium so, I'm taking it one step at a time.

don't be afraid of "inspired by Lovecraft" kinda OCs; like my LS-OCs' "Goetia Class" are all bizarre OCs to begin with (like you've seen OC_Dimmawary's true form), so yep, you keep up with that~!
