Description

This was a drawing I did for myself personally because I haven’t had time to draw for myself in around a month or so.
Yes it’s a geisha like design, but I adore the theme and since working a tattoo studio back in the day the oriental themed images still impress me and inspire me. I like putting my own twist on things.

I also wanted to express my recent feelings and of corse put a bit of myself into the design…
This design is of a geisha dashing through the woods, a bag of poison apples around her forearm,
It represents *to me* some of the issues I have been facing, running from certain truths or facts, a lot of poisonous things have been consumed within my days of late and trying to bring everything down around me.
I can just keep trudging on.
But im aware of the foes that fake as friends.

The shoes, corset, garter and tassel designs are personal touches too; I wanted to put a bit of myself into the design, my tastes and pleasures.

I enjoyed making this.
Further more I do hope this design isn’t too dull, naturally I wouldn’t think so but I’m getting tired of seeing my head bones, flesh tunnels and faces spreading around the place in others art. I do notice these things you know.

Uhm flesh tunnels, corsets, and the bones on the hair, are not your own creation. You might have your own style, but it's not something you've invented yourself. Yeah, Im sure it boders to see art from others with things you've done for your own art, but Im sure it also boders Miss Camille Rose Garcia, to see a bunch of artist like yourself, using her creations for themselves. Don't get me wrong I love your art, I think you have talent, and you seem very popular here on Deviantart and RedBubble like some other artists as well, but you can't call other copycats when you yourself, have no shame in making many of your art work look pretty much very alike other's very important and famous artists. I've seen others do the bones on the hair thing, and they look nothing like yours, so don't get so defensive. And even if like you said those are not your own creation, which is very true, most artists in the world usually have a base from where to start their imagination flow. Everyone takes ideas from others or from things to start their own.
Yes, many artists here on Devinart, Redbubble etc, have their style looking like yours, but their art is personal and it has nothing to do with yours, even if they make the bones on the hair just like you do.
Miss Van, and Fafi for ex.pretty much look alike, but we all know who is Fafi, and who is Miss Van.
Besides I've seen you adding on deviantart, people who actually have their art work looking just like yours, so it's your own fault in the first place to add and let those people do what they do.
No hard feelings tho. I also have a strong personality and I might sound mean, but not at all, trust me.

Hello..
Ok ill try answer you back as clear as I can, but you seem to contradict yourself a lot

I never claimed that hair bones, flesh tunnels and corsets are my own creation,
I do get annoyed though because of corse I get inspired by other artists, and I take that inspiration and put as much as myself into it as possible
In turn making the design/idea look very different to the original source of inspiration of where it came from.
what buggs me is when I see art that others have done and of which have used bones, ext in their pieces to look –exactly or almost- how I originally preserved them
Every time I draw like Camille rose Garcia I mention her influences, so I don’t see myself as a copy-cat especially when for example this image was HEAVIY influenced by Camille - [link]
And below we see one of Camille rose Garcia’s images –for example-
[link]

see I never saw a image Camille rose Garcia drew of a half naked woman straddling a man with a needle in hand, the whole style I injected into that drawing –oison sex- is still very my own without being a ripp off to Camille’s ideas.
at least I put effort in to make it more –my own- than just a copy I personally cant see the harm in that, and that’s why my comment on this picture was directed to something in particular,
Yes I have put people on my watch that draw similar..
But many of them had their own style enough that it made it refreshing, I naturally am a friendly person, so I like to make friends and those who like my art tend to become friends of mine. I like to also support people who draw a lot like me to become their own, and usually over time they do anyway!
So im not a meanie or vein.
I just get tired of boycotting apparent friends to try putting a twist on things instead of just redrawing it the way I originally did…
See if I saw bones in hair I would draw them in my –style- in my way. Not exact to what I saw before. I take pride in representing my personality into my art.
How someone else draws something wont usually be the way I do –shrugs-
At the end of the day every artist has their own unique stroke..or line.
I thought that was the point of art?
To show the world through your eyes…
Not just like everyone else’s eyes
I fear my art will start looking like a copy of others because others choose to draw the same!

When you say this –
*Yes, many artists here on Devinart, Redbubble etc, have their style looking like yours, but their art is personal and it has nothing to do with yours, even if they make the bones on the hair just like you do.*
well my art is personal to me, and has nothing to do with them, so why should I be happy if they ripp me and my ideas off?

im not wineing or complaining loudly, I’m actually very suttle about it, so im aloud to be annoyed or effected in a small way.

Personally I don't think anyone could ever tire of your artwork in reference to the flesh tunnels and corsets etc. Not just because they're part of a very popular/well-known subculture, but because you have a very unique use of these items, they're almost iconic to your artwork. And I mean that in a good way.

I like the way you combine elements such as Oriental kinda geisha designs with like I said, more 'Western' sub-cultures, and then add your own spin. For that reason your artwork is so easily recognisable/dynamic but at the same time so versatile. You make it easy for people to lift ideas and inspiration from your work.

Unfortunately it makes people want to steal your work too. I hope for your sake things get settled with some of the more major art thieves.

hey there.
i didnt mean people using the use of corsets or flesh tunnels in their drawings i said and meant the bones in the hair and flesh tunnels.

these creations are not really 100% origonal. but i came up with bones in hair instead of chop sticks a while back, and i loved using it, and like all ideas i create once i use them alot i start seeing everyone else use them! and usually people who watch my art, or people i have polietly talked to in the past for ripping my art off
it gets annoying because i dont see the point of everyones images looking exactly the same.
i draw flesh tunnels because i have them myself. 22mm
some people drawing them these days dont even have them.
sure they are popular... but someone will have their own style and then they just take this bit, that bit, this bit and thoes bits from my images and start looking like a total copykat. -sigh-

oh well i suppose.
i just get tired of it and if i mention it i seem childish.
but i cant be bothered seeing 5 peoples galleries all look the same, especially when most people here are talented enough to create their own shit.

thanks so much for the comment though!
i love mixing in lots of things into my images.
the geisha picture is very interesting because its got so many different mixes and cultures into it ^_^ makes it quiet funny.

people will always copycat me and steal my work..
but as long as i continue to love what i do and be true to my art, they can do whatever they like.

howdy,

sorry, I didn't mean my comment to take offense. If I offended you with my comment in any way that wasn't my intention and I apologise.

I too sometimes draw flesh tunnels. I don't have any. But I have an interest in piercings/tattoos and the subculture attached to it, even if I don't express it with my own piercings or tatts (I've always been meaning to stretch my ear lobes, for some reason just haven't yet). I think it's natural to incorporate your interests and yourself in your pictures, it makes it more personal shows other people a part of your personality which they may not have known about otherwise.

I think what my points were with my original comment was that 1). it doesn't matter if you have 'repetitive' (I use the term loosely- I don't think it's repetitive at all) themes in your pictures, that's what makes you easily recognisable and an artist with a strong sense of identity.

2). No one is completely original, and because you're such a strong artist people are bound to be influenced by you and your work. I'm not saying it's right, but people will copy some of your work until they find their own style-- for most people I'm sure it's a phase they grow out of. For the people who copy and outright steal your artwork for profit, that's another matter entirely that I'm sure you're tired of dealing with.

I hope that clears my points a bit better. My feedback was intended to be 100% positive, even if it doesn't look that way. I personally have been influenced a lot by your art and I hope it continues to do so.

hahahaha
sweetie you didnt offend me at all..
you must have read my comment completely wrong -giggles-
i got your point and answered right to it.
thats all.

-shrugs- people always think i reply in a strong tone when i dont on here..
maybe its just my strong personality.
but you really had no need to reply with an aplogy..
i am totally confused to it -laughs quietly-

-shrugs- people can draw things that are not true to themselves like tatts and piercings..
but there are a great deal of people that seem to go out of their way to make their work which could have a chance to be origonal become a complete copy of my work -or others-
its a shame when you see people with enough talent to do their own thing or draw things in their own way
yet they choose to illistrate it just as i did
or others.

-shrugs-

haha my bad

I think I replied the day I had like no sleep, maybe that's why I read it wrong. I've been offending people a lot lately too when I meant positive things, guess I have problems with explaining myself. Haha.

Well I'm glad you're not offended. I agree, too many people get sucked into drawing for success instead of pleasure, and it really shows when they're not being true to themselves. I've read about real life ccases where people have actually had their IDENTITIES stolen by art thieves, like the art thief claimed to BE the person, not just steal their art. So creepy.
