Beautiful! I love the fire wings especially. I've never made wings...do you use wire as the base? And if so what gauge? And with the pantyhose...how do you work with that fabric without ripping it? I want to try and make wings for my costume this year, which will hopefully be related to fire. That's how I found myself here...searching for "costume fire" to get some inspired. So far all I know is that there will be red gloves & feathers in the mix

Thanks so much!! Yes, the base is made from 14 gauge steel galvanized wire. As far as working with the fabric, it's really just a lot of practice and knowing the parameters of your materials. I can't tell you how many times I've had to start a project over becuase I overestimated what the hose could do!

Best of luck with the costume!! Would love to see pictures of the final product!!

Hi! Thanks so much! The fabric I use is pantyhose and they tend to stay in place quite well. Should you try wings again, I can recommend using them!
