I'm rendering scenarios that I find interesting and original, and for me that means size-changing characters mostly, as you can tell by looking at my gallery. I could do some pics with tigers probably, if there was some sort of size change involved.

Yeah, I know of some online shops with this kind of pics. But right now I'm only doing this for fun, not for profit - to actually start selling stuff I'd have to create whole image series and stories, because that's what people would be willing to buy. And to do that I would have to either quit my daily job or reduce the render quality to the "cartoons of the 90s" level to cut on render times.

That is why you have it render while you're at work! I know Lux Render is slow as death, but you could look into other renderers for previewing before rendering.

There is no point in previewing scenes in other rendering engines, because each one of them would result in a different picture. There are ways to speed up Lux's renders, but building scenes themselves can take a lot of time, too - sadly, I'm currently limited to a couple of hours a day to build scenes while my workplace computers take care of most of my actual rendering needs.

I gag at the idea of reducing quality for time. I always render while I'm at work or hanging out with friends or getting really stoned. You should too.
