Played around with the color a bit, ammo looks like its gold plated now.This completes my Dillon Nightforce Fund after almost 8-months of saving, and I intend to pick it up this weekend.

Well its all bought and paid for, but as it turns out my stocking dealer doesn't actually stock the model I want. So Nightforce is going to custom build one to my specs, it's going to be four weeks.

Exactly! And I only have one light compatible holster. It just sucks I paid more for this plastic thing than I did for an entire Safariland rig.

That's exactly why the steel guide rod is laying on my desk right now.
I see no real need for it as opposed to the polymer one, but hey if it gives me an excuse for a new Glock, then I'm all in.

I just convinced my roommate to use his Wildland ID to get a Glock for himself and his girlfriend, $398.20.
Oh and I've actually heard of more problems with the steel rod than the original polymer one because it doesn't allow the spring to flex with the frame.

Under $400 for a Glock... can't beat that deal.
I could see how a steel guide rod might be a problem in that way. If the frame is trying to flex with recoil and the spring is traveling rearward on a part that cannot flex (or very very little), then I could imagine there might be some ejection and/or feeding issues that could result... makes sense.
I suppose I'll keep all my Glocks just as originally engineered... because, as you said earlier, "if it ain't broke..."

Yeah, I'm still trying to get myself a Glock 26 but I keep spending too much money on knives. I just dropped about $400 on a couple of Benchmade balisongs... so I guess the 26 will have to wait until tax time.

Somehow I ended up with disposable income. Thus how I ended up with a scope that can see 2000 yards, but I can only shoot 800.
