America: uses the nanking rape as an excuse to bully Japan and anime fans creating more weeaboos in the process.
Also America: killed, tortured and raped thousands of Iraqi men, women and children in Abu ghraib just like when imperial Japan invaded china.

I can appreciate this piece. I was a part of Desert Storm, and I stayed in the military for 13 years. Through those years, I learned slowly. I left the military before the Iraq invasion in 2003. I had studied the Bush family and I realized how corrupt our system is. I became a Veteran for Peace [ www.veteransforpeace.org/ ]
Vets for Peace is all about educating people about the costs of war. We also work to end war as an instrument of foreign policy and rid the world of nukes. The things our government, our troops and I do and did are wrong. It's a racket. It's all about profit for the 1% of the wealthiest few along with their puppet politicians.
Everyone should be held accountable for their actions, that includes soldiers.
And he's fighting for Democracy,
He's fighting for the Reds,
He says it's for the peace of all.
He's the one who must decide,
Who's to live and who's to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.
But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned them at Liebau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can't go on.
He's the Universal Soldier and he really is to blame,
His orders come from far away no more,
They come from here and there and you and me,
And brothers can't you see,
This is not the way we put the end to war?

Most U.S soldiers are not like this. I do not support our involvement in Iraq, but I do support the men and women who had no choice but to follow the orders of the few corrupt politicians who failed to heed the warnings that were issued to them. As a result of their negligence, our soldiers suffer, our families and theirs suffer, innocent civilians suffer, and everyone involved suffers. Most Soldiers don't like war- you can replace a building, gun, vehicle, or tree, but you can't replace a person.

I have mixed feelings about this drawing. It's true that it is very arrogant of us Americans to presume we are the saviors of Democracy when our efforts cause just as much harm as the people we fight against, no matter how good our efforts were intended. And the wars have defined a lot of American history, including pointless and horrid ones like Vietnam and the recent Iraq war. And our propaganda eludes the truth to the
On the other hand that is not all of what America is about, and it certainly doesn't define the population of the U.S. No matter what dumb choices our leaders may make. This also doesn't define our Soldiers either. Some are this crazy and violent, there are always going to be those kind of men in any army that's inevitable. But most are either volunteers serving a tour of duty for financial or academic reasons or full time soldiers who feel it's their duty. And many are strong advocates for anti-war, since war is just as much hell for the people who fight in it as those who are unfortunate enough to be caught in it.
I am by no means saying your a anti-american foreigner as a lot of these comments seem to be calling you, but this can definitely be easily taken the wrong way and I just thought I should say what I think about the situation. Heck I don't even know when you drew this.

Wow. You have a real chip on your shoulder, don't you? Hmmm... just like after the Vietnam War, the soldiers who were only following orders from the top brass spat on and had to deal with the ceaseless spewing of a bunch of hippies who only take in the worst of everything and build a crusade on it.
Maybe gather more facts and opinions of subjects like this from actual PEOPLE themselves who have BEEN THERE instead of propaganda and the media before putting something up like this. Even if it's venting, please don't put anything like this up, even if you're trying to make a point. You're likely just going to get more haters than fans in the long run at this pace.

Amazing!
I can understand a little anti-war sentiment, and being a former soldier I can relate to the fact that no one really likes war....Especially the troops who are boots on the ground.
But after reviewing much of your work, I find that you are not any kind of journalist and not even echoing popular opinion. You are just a very small and weak individual who seems to have a rabid hatred for anything American. It is sadly obvious that you know nothing about what it is to be a soldier, what resides in a soldiers heart, nor do you have any grasp of the courage that it takes to engage a hostile foe on a daily basis. Soldiers do not make war, they carry out their orders to the best of their ability, and they suffer much in the process.
It has always been a sad fact that while good men and women put their lives on the line for the freedom of others, those creatures who reek of cowardice and fear sit back home and criticize their actions....They criticize while enjoying the freedom to do so given them by soldiers who live in a world of fear and extreme danger and minutes of death that would make lesser beings soil their pants and scream for their mother.
I'm glad that you support the dead Iraqi and Afghani populace, and I am glad that you view Americans and our troops in this vein. Maybe you can support your convictions by picking up an AK-47 and head across the water to support your jihadist brothers. I'm sure that they will welcome you with open arms, but don't practice your pitiful efforts at art....It is against the religion.
Oh...Another thing....Their are several thousand Kurds who are glad to see American trops over there, as they were just a bit tired with Saddam's genocide. I believe that there are a few thousand free Iraqi and Afghani civilians who wanted to have a few freedoms too, and now they can.....Courtesy of a few bloody, dirty, and tired soldiers who have to suffer further indignities thrown at them by cowards such as yourself.
Actions speak louder than words or bad cartoons....Maybe you should head over there and see just what is really going on.....If you can find your way from underneath your mother's skirts.
I really don't much care if you post this or not, and I don't much care if you reply to this. I use deviantart as an artistic resource for the nude artwork that I do...A much more beautiful and artistic challenge than the garbage that you spew forth. Years ago I accepted the challenge, and I have the right to speak about being a troop as I wish.....You do not. You haven't earned the right.
One last thing....Stay over in Canada. We American's do not need any more trash across our borders, and you just don't seem to fit the mold of the average Canadian....And I have many Canadian friends.

I disagree with your sorry attempt at justifying our involvement in the middle east. When did we lose our freedom that you have to go fight for it? You toy soldiers so very brainwashed to this stupid idea that you are the champions of freedom and that you keep the rest of us free! The truth is we as individuals would still have our freedom without the Iraq or the Vietnam War and the only soldiers that deserve thanks are WWII vets who did fight for freedom from a real threat to it and who were DRAFTED. We had no business in the middle east and no one sent you out there it was your choice to join and serve a rotten cause: Corporate Greed. I salute only the WWII vets and Vietnam Vets that did not want to go but still served. The rest of you went cause there was some sort of perks waiting for you after your service.. like using your newfound status to exploit others! You're the second soldier i run into that has ties with nude cam girls.. i see a trend with you souless lot! How wonderful of you to exploit our daughters now that you are such a HERO! You get a one finger salute from this American!

I don't like this picture, but it's your view on the situation. I personally think Left wing Liberals and Democrat's are to blame, they bet so much on the war failing they want to turn the public against the Army.Recently CNN said The 'Decrees in Terrorist activity's is Due to the citizen's influence'...
I guess It's a coincidence that There were so many U.S soldiers being sent to the middle East at the time. What were they doing then? I thought they were Terrorist's, but I guess CNN knows more about a war on the other side of the world then the people who are fighting it.
There are so many politicians who refuse to drill for Oil within our own borders because they make money off of foreign oil. Darn Left wing nut jobs, that's one thing good about Bush, He's not with the Far left. If anyone thinks I'm wrong, please reply.

Frankly, I find this and the previous one absolutely disgusting. Yes, the war may be unjust and illegal, but that doesn't change who these people are. Brave men and women who joined the military to protect and serve their country and their people. Many of the military personnel fighting this war do not agree with it either. They're over there fighting not because they want to, but because they have to.
Refusing to do so could very well result in a dishonorable discharge, leaving them with no job and no way to support themselves and their families. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these people who risk their lives in combat.
There is no substance or meaning here. Just spineless insults to people who may one day save your life. If I were a soldier, and I saw this and at some point in the future were the only thing standing between you and someone or thing that would kill you, would I save you...? Yes, I would because I am better than that and not the spineless coward you appear to be. Would you say the same of them if they were fighting a war to protect your rights and freedoms?

Hello!
I just got back from Iraq with the 101st this past September.I am not a Marine as is evidently depicted in this piece of art, but I feel I can lend some constructive insight as an American service member. Just something I couldn't help but notice:
The American flag we wear on our shoulders is actually reversed - the blue part and white stars are actually on the right of it. This is done to mimic a flag as it guides others into battle.
Additionally, even though we are trained to not hold our weapons by the magazine (the gentleman who said 'clip' used the wrong term for a military grade weapon, I might add) it is known among some soldiers to do this, as they feel it solidified their grip and improves their accuracy when firing on confirmed enemies and civilians alike.
I am not telling you these things to insult you! I just know as an artist you would probably aim to achieve the most realistic representation you can!
Thank you and please continue your work!
Tom

-read your little comversation- no interested in getting into politica stuff (altough I agree that 'America' is made up with more than one country) So Im going to look at this piece in a artistic way: I love the colors, they just jump at you, I don't like the slapper of blood in the flag, it looks to unrealistic ( more blood would be present on the right side of the flag than the left side) And I agree with aprevios post, the soldier should be smiling to prove your point. -nods-
