Description Oracle, the general all-purpose badass of the game and Genobee, the top ranking mech in the arena.
I had no reference for Genobee, so it's most likely pretty much off. Too much trouble to start up the game to check.
Armored Core: Nexus, that is.

I would love to see these 2 go at each other.

Oracle: The most Badass Dominant in Nexus.

Genobee: The most Badass Pilot the Crest company has.

Where have the feet gone?
The one of the left is totally wicked but the cropping could have been better(I think thats the word) Cause most of him seems to be going off the page. Still the colouring and details rock.
Did Shoji Kawamori design those things? Hes the best mecha designer ever.

That's Kawamori alright. Armored Cores are packed with his mechs.

ack, yeah, Genobee has two 'nade launchers and one of those AST rifles (i forget which company... had to be Crest, right?)...

but still! you're reeeeeeeally good at making Cores, you know that?

^_^

trust me, you'll get some contructive critisism from a guy who knows about AC. i love the series, and will allways love it. you have a big fan watching ya

do they make Genobee's model? i know that they have Evangel's...

yeah, i need to find a core model to buy... they dont make posters!!! they should! From needs a swift kick in the pants once PS3 comes out and start marketing AC. they need a bigger fanbase...

^_^

ohhhh.... food for thought! i all ways wondered who's core would win... picture this: Leos Kline vs. Evangel? and not necessarily the pilots, but more of just the cores... Evangel is just kinda a suped-up AC3 version of Leos Kline's core... wouldnt that be cool to see? both are pretty damn good core set-ups, balanced and all...

hee hee... that would be cool...

They have the big master grade -level model of Oracle only, for now, but they also have sets of smaller, about 10-15cm, ACs. Most of the mechs with a little bigger profile in the games are found in these sets. They are still detailed enough to be used as reference, and look damn cool too.
Of those smaller ones I currently have Oracle, Nineball, the blue one from AC3's intro, the big red badass from Another Age's intro and a mysterious quadroped that I don't recognize from any of the PS2-ACs.

And about that part with Oracle and Leos Klein's AC. I had to wait for over a year to get Nexus here, that time built a pretty menacing aura over Oracle, whose parts almost all were completely new ones. There is some resemblance between the two mechs and for a while I thought that perhaps Oracle is some sort of remake of Klein's AC. And I was pretty much afraid of Oracle when I finally faced him in Nexus, thanks to all images I had built in my head over time. Hype kills.

Yep, after some checking up I can say I pretty much fucked up with Genobee. Equipment and color vice.
Better luck next time. I'll have to buy a model of him, too.

Which is which? They both look like they could fit either of the descriptions.

The blue one is Oracle. Genobee's coloring and equipment went completely off, should never draw ACs without reference.

genobee wasn't completely off...he had the color right. he just needs the right rifle and another grenade launcher.

Is that something Karawasa-esque I spy in Oracle's hand?

A linear rifle. Damned be the me for not remembering the gun's model name.

Linear rifle. Gotcha.
What exactly does it do?
(apologies for my ignorance, all I've done is play about 3/4 of AC2)

GloomFlowerArt In reply to halocin [2006-05-03 13:55:29 +0000 UTC]

Fires like a rifle, ends up with an explosion. Causes pretty bad heat-buildup on the target. But with all the booming and roaring, the actual attack power of the linear weapons is pretty small. I'll just stick to my autoacnnon, thanks.

Just outta curiosity, is there a more...contemporary equivalent to fabled Karawasa?

UltimaAnimeLover In reply to halocin [2007-06-10 22:04:32 +0000 UTC]

Yea, but the name got shortened to KWSW (full name WH04HL-KRSW) Its much bigger looking, but still is strong, and like jehu-chan said, you can weild two.

GloomFlowerArt In reply to halocin [2006-05-03 19:36:42 +0000 UTC]

Not really. At least can't think of one. Karasawa is still around, and was last handled by the Misteye in Silent Line's intro. In Nexus it is possible even to wield two Karasawas, if your legs just allow.
Still not my weapon of choice. But hey, boom boom!

Strongly certain what you see in Silent Line intro's was a shoulder mounted energy Sniper Canon. The one that rips off the other AC's leg.

What're the specs on your Core of choice?

GloomFlowerArt In reply to halocin [2006-05-04 13:32:12 +0000 UTC]

Without getting into details, I like to employ a middleweight mech stressing mobility. Primary weapons are usually autocannons supported by missiles.
In Nexus I'm using a sort of multi-phase mech. First it unleashes hell with missile racks and support missiles, but when the empty back unit and extensions fall off, it's a pretty nimble bastard.
