Some things to note about the design, he was a prisoner/combatant in this sort of "fight-to-the-death" arena for six years, so his ears and tail have been cropped deliberately, and the big white scar marking on his back was actually branded onto him with hot iron (it's the number 13, his combatant number). The other scars a whip scars, for insubordination. He did escape, so a lot of his outfit is actually after his time in the arena.
