"How was I suppose to know that Aragog was the only talking spider?!"Another sneak peek into a chapter in the Next Generation: Harry Potter fanfic my good friend ~MooSaysRayRay and I are working on! (Takes place during 4th or 5th year...need to double check) [link]

Anyways Al, James, Scorpius and Rose are in the dark forest and running away from giant spiders! Why? Let's just say it's all James's fault. Albus is yelling at James, James is trying to run & blast the spiders, Scorpius is carrying Rose. Why? Well she is a brave Gryffindor after all and probably wanted to fight them but, not in the mood to deal with her stubbornness and not really to die just yet, Scorpius just throws her over his shoulder and runs! But Rose is still screaming out hexes and using her wand as he does so. *Sorry my stupid scanner cut that part out* T_T
But all and all, I hope you like it! ENJOY!

damn. no offense but I REALLy hate when Scorp and Albus are Slytherin cause Albus himself said he didnt want to be in Slytherin. Scorp is easier to deal with but I like to think he's different due to the fact that Draco probably taught him differently from Lucy

You're welcome. I think my favorite thing is their faces. I can see Al and James yelling at each other, Rose aiming some nasty spells at the hungry spiders, and Scorpius saying something along the lines of "Why can't she just -- for once -- forcus on escaping? WHY?!" LOL!

The boys yelled "RUN!" but she wanted to stay and fight off the giant spider. Scorpius didn't want her to die nor did he wanna die so he grabs her and takes off running with the others.

I thought she had "her mother's brains" and wouldn't mistake stupidity for courage. But Hermione lost most of her brains in the last two books; her daughter doesn't have to be smart. All the "Next Generation" characters are essentially OCs, so you can do whatever you like with them. Rose without brains is perfectly legitimate. I assume Scorpius, who has the common sense to run, is a Slytherin.

No Aragog is dead. In the fanfic we're writing James needs to find the chamber of secrets *for reasons I can't say at the moment* and remembers his dad's story about the talking spiders that "helped" him. Harry never tells James where the chamber is or how to find it so James drags the others it go get "help" again from spiders, but only Aragog's children aren't as "nice" or "helpful" as he was...hence the running for lives in dark forest. James thought that the spiders were in fact very helpful (Harry never tells his kids the whole story) and just assumed they would tell him the location...
