Description
Piece I've been working on since Easter. I'm growing tired of it lately...I may need to take a break from it and draw something else.

Well for everything you drew in. You sure added in allot of fine detail for what you have accomplished.

It's looking fantastic already! The detail on the log-steps is my favorite part. If you're getting bored, definitely take a break ^_^

I like how the steps are coming out too--wood grain is so easy but very satisfying when it come out looking right. The part I don't like right now is the bunch of tangled grasses on the right side *sigh* but even that is fun to do in little doses...

I noticed that seemed to be the part that was least worked. But, since you said even that part can be fun, just work on it a little at a time ^^ It seems like you are very close to completing the drawing!

Thank you! My husband took the reference photo on a hike we took last year; he has a good eye for composition.

That's a LOT of grass to have the patience to draw so well already. I look forward to seeing this finished, but understand the need for a break. Don't forget to come back to this.

I won't forget! It's still on my desk, next to my unfinished colored pencil piece. I will try doing just a bit every day. But I think I need a new sharpener to get the graphite as fine-tipped as I would like for some of the foreground details.

Thanks for your enthusiasm! Yes, I've been drawing this for three weeks, off and on. It's slow going sometimes.
