Description
A few nights ago I watched the ol' Disney take on the Legend- which I hadn't seen in years- and was totally blown away.Imagine a time when Disney characters could drink beer and Bing Crosby was readily available to write the swingingest soundtrack ever.
Needless to say, th' Mouse found it unmarketable and the film has been condemned to ordinary cardboard-sleeved-obscurity.

With a hip-hip, and a clipety-clop...
This was about the only not-Johnny Depp version of Ichabod that I found on DA... Very nice to see a take on the Disney version as well

I searched for "Ichabod Crane" and this is the first one I saw that wasn't the Tim Burton image of the character (played, of course, by Johnny Depp). So that, following the fact that it's an awesome picture, deems it readily fave-worthy. ^_^

You mean they don't show this cartoon anymore? That stinks! "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" has always been one of my all-time favorite Disney shorts! ... of course, considering how they NEVER show any of their old cartoons, it's hard to really compare it to any of them.
( Anyone know how we're supposed to enjoy all of the Mickey/Donald/Goofy/Any other random Disney character merchandise and memorabilia at D-World if we have no clue who they are? I've wondered that... )

"condemned to ordinary cardboard sleeved obscurity"
Referring to the VHS packaging: Usually, especially in Disney/Kids films, tapes get those giant plastic clam-shell cases to make them look more uh... fun I guess. But that literally wasn't the case here.
Makes it seem like a DVD rerelease isn't too likely either.
