Jimmy Corrigan was created by comic artist and graphic designer Christ Ware in 1991, just before his acclaimed compelation Jimmy Corrigan: Smartest Kid on Earth was released in 2000, he had this to say "I don't want a book of seven years' worth of my stuff to become available and then be accused of being a rip-off of Family Guy."In case you happen to be unfamiliar with Chris Ware's work, here's a quick list of things worth buying instead of the next Family Guy DVD:

Every single excerpt from Corrigan or anything else by Ware I've ever read has depressed me numb. I enjoy his artwork a lot, and admire him for not using the computer, but all this is diminished by the hopeless darkness that coats every single panel... Anyway, that's just my opinion. Great pun by the way!

It is indeed your opinion which is your right as a human being and damn it to hell, I admire the fact that you are honest and sincere enough to reveal to the world in a puplic post, an opinion that tells me what a sensitive sissy you are and one which reveals your girly emotional vulnerability. If you ever read an issue of Garth Ennis Crossed it would literally kill you. You would be the first boy/girl/sissy to die of sensitivity.

I do like Family Guy, but I allso really Like Jimmy Corrigan. They are two absolute diferent sorts of storyes
the resemblance betwean Stewie Griffin and Jimmy Corrigan is purely coincidential since MacFarlane has never seen the comic before he started his work on Family Guy

MacFarlane is a huge ripoff artist. He's lying when he says he never heard of Jimmy Corrigan. He's saying that to protect himself from lawsuits.
Jimmy Corrigan was run in every major newspaper and lots of "alternative" newspapers for 10 years. The only way MacF could NOT have seen Jimmy is if he never read a newspaper during the entire 1990s.
Like Chris Ware says, "Too much coincidence for it to be coincidence"

I love Chris Ware's stuff. I might like him an insignificant percent more as a person than even his work.
