It was a warm sunny day in canterlot. Umbra had just finished her writings and was heading off to get ready for the gala's royal set up.

She trotted down the castle halls, excited for today, as everything was going so well. She would make this year's Royal gala something to remember. She was just halfway down the hall when she heard a voice, a voice that belonged to a pony she hated most.

“Heya Umbie..What going on?” Umbra felt her body give a small shudder. She slowly turned her head, giving the best fake smile she could.

“I’m heading off to do my royal duties, which is what I'd assume you’d be doing?”

“Why, you don’t want to come chill with me at the beach? The Gala happens all the time. They don’t need our help.” Andromeda adjusted her hat gently.

“Besides, I could care less about what happens here in canterlot. Why not host one in the crystal…”

Umbra's eyes narrowed as she looked deep at Andromeda as she kept on rambling. Of course this was the attitude Annie always carried but something about it today Umbra just couldn’t stand.

“Do you ever think about anypony else other than yourself?” Umbra whinnied, letting out an annoyed laugh. “I mean listen to yourself Annie.”

Andromeda's eyes dilated as her ears softly twitched. Andromeda lightly scoffed. She looked up at Umbra slowly with a cocky smile, staring deep into her eyes. She leaned in as she softly spoke..

“That’s exactly the behavior I would expect for the child of villains.” She leaned back, a wide smile on her face.

“At least my family is functional.” Umbra’s face was red hot with pure anger. It felt like lava was about to seep from her.

Andromeda gave a hardy belly laugh as she brushed past Umbra.

“Whatever you tell yourself Umbie, Take care. I’m off to the beach.”

Bleh, only a few more days with her.
