Painted 2021-22 for a Grant, Library Arts Center, Newport NH

The trail runs to the left of my location. It's gone. There was a late season heavy rain that washed out the ravine. The trail collapsed into the Amonnoosuc river. Climate change. I've been watching the sides of the rivers erode further away other the last decade from the sudden heavy rains we are now getting. Regular rain that drops inches in an hour or two is new to our ecosystem.
