adding her to art fight this year, but I figured she could use a shiny new ref!
and like, an update on all the info, too, tbh, that needed some work

Name: Bloodshot Iolite "Bee"
Facet 8S5T Cut 8AN
Agender (she/her and they/them); aro ace
Species: Gem
Weapon: Not much of a fighter, more of a schemer. don't worry about it
Ability(/s): Can float (not like steven, but like, actually manipulating the gravity around herself so she can stay suspended in the air), also has minor telepathic ability (power comes from the gem on her cape thing)
Job: Merchant, sells weapon upgrades and gem-powered items (like lapis' mirror, for example, but more often made with shards and/or corrupted gems)
Age: Don't worry about it
Height: A little taller than the standard sapphire
Personality: Very similar to Stan (from Gravity Falls)'s "Mr. Mystery" act, trying to sell her merchandise and generally just like, promote her business and stuff, but almost over the top about it. She's genuinely nice to rebels and those working against Homeworld, but is absolutely only going to scam anyone affiliated with Homeworld. She's very desensitized to stories about gems getting corrupted, not that she doesn't care, but just... she's gotten good at not letting them get to her. She'll protect that cape thing with her life, and hardly ever takes it off, but won't tell anyone about it and doesn't like attention being drawn to it.
Likes: her job, her cape thing, teal, blacklights, tourist trap-like places (she travels a lot), learning about legends and lore, meeting new people (that aren't with Homeworld, she's always happy to see someone sticking it to them)
Dislikes: talking about corrupt gems, the diamond authority (can't stand 'em), staying in one place for too long, people that can't make up their mind or otherwise waste her time, having to design things (she prefers to outsource her wares)
Other: Besides having weird eyes, she ALSO doesn't actually have any legs or feet, the bottom of her skirt is flat. if she weren't able to float, she'd have to hop everywhere!
Bio: She used to work for Homeworld, along with her friend Allophane, who came from the same kindergarten as her. She was an architect, and Allophane was a guard, so they'd often see each other a lot while they were doing their jobs. When the rebellion on Earth started, every soldier Homeworld had was needed, so Allophane and most of the other guards in their squad were sent to fight. Bee later found out that Allophane got stuck on Earth and was corrupted when Homeworld left the planet, and was furious. How could Homeworld not care about its own soldiers?? Bee left Homeworld and tracked down Allophane on earth, then poofed them and had a special cape made that would hold their gem. During her search for someone that could heal her friend, she eventually started selling more gem-powered items, and to this day still does.
