Description
This was for a collab that my cousin set up on Instagram. The theme revolves around elements and the artists has to pick characters to draw with said elements of their choosing.

Of course, I chose the main protagonists of The Diamond Lotus, since later on, they'll be given an arc where they gain elemental powers in Trinitua.

I can see the Last Airbender jokes about this post already 😂

Anyway, I chose elements based around Saben and the gang's personalities.

For Saben, I chose Fire. She's passionate about her work as an artist and a florist. And as leader of this new band of warriors, she takes pride in coming up with the right strategy to gain victory and save the people from her world and Trinitua. She's even warm and inviting to travellers, even showing that same love to her family and her friends.

For Onyx, I chose Earth. This girl is built like a wall, and no one can take her down because her determination is solid and unhindering. Her power is mighty and gives the team an edge in battle, and she gives it her all to support her teammates even when things are looking bleak. She makes sure to give Saben, Kat and JD the boost they need when they need a strong shoulder to lean on.

For Kat, I chose Air. For someone so calculative and intelligent as her, she allows herself to be at peace no matter the circumstances. She understands that there's a balance to everything, and everything flows at different paces. Kat doesn't confine herself to her books all the time, naturally she allows herself to take action without thinking of a strategy, which helps her in battle.

And for JD, I chose Water! The spirit and heart of the team definitely deserves to wield this element. JD is spontaneous and loves her new friends dearly as if they were another family to her, like the sisters she's never had. She's the type of character that goes with the flow, much like water, even being the cheerleader to her allies to put some pep in their step.
