So do these tunics get more gear as you progress through the game? How's this work?

I imagined it where you need the base tunic to enter the the temple (like in OoT). Once you're inside you find pieces of equipment that give certain buffs or effects. In this one, the armor would just give extra defense and the mask would function similarly to the Lens of Truth.
